Premium List

We are thrilled to showcase the talented work of those who call Nicollet County home! This is what fairs are all about – showcasing the best of their community! The Fair’s competitive events are grouped into departments. Rules, schedules and entry forms for each department can be found in their respective premium book section.  You do not need to be from Nicollet County to enter in our fair.  We welcome everyone.

Open Class

Open Class Registration is Wednesday, August 12, 2026,
from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Johnson Hall

There is a $5 entry fee per person to register. With this entry fee, you will receive an exhibitor’s parking permit for free fair parking admission.

How to participate in Open Class:

Step 1:  Locate a premium book and look at what we allow you to enter.

Step 2:  Come to Johnson Hall on Wednesday, August 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to enter your items.  It is $5 to enter no matter how many items you have.  Children under 12 must attend this day to participate as they are interviewed by judges.

Step 3:  Go to the Registration window to get your entry form and pay the $5.

Step 4:  Go to the Premium Book table and complete your entries on the carbon form.  It helps if you have all this planned out on the sample form from the Premium Book so you have all your codes looked up.

Step 5:  Go to the different divisions that you have items to register.  For instance, if you have a photograph and chocolate chip cookies, you would go to the photography division and drop that off and then proceed to the Foods division to drop that off.  Take the pink from your last stop.

Step 6:  Come back on Sunday, August 16 at 3:00 p.m. SHARP to first go to the registration area and pick up your premium check and then go do each division to pick up your items.  Bring your pink form with your entry number in the lower right corner, as that is how we locate your check.
